The difference you made in one boy’s life
After 10 years of conducting Medical Outreaches in Zimbabwe, we returned to the region where it all began, a place called Mberengewa.
Thank you for being a part of God’s miraculous work through Jewish Voice.
While we're working in Ukraine, we're also ministering in areas like Zimbabwe, where we met Constance.* Constance was an elderly woman, and she could barely walk. After what was probably a lifetime of manual labor in the fields – trying to earn a living for her family – her leg finally just gave out. When Constance came to the Outreach, our doctors couldn’t do much for her. Except pray. And she was eager for it . . .
Jewish Voice Ministries International (JVMI) has been in relationships with certain Ukrainian Messianic congregations since the 1990s. A little JVMI history might be helpful.
We started off 2022 where we ended 2021 – breaking new ground and connecting with new scattered Jewish communities. If the six-week period between early March and the beginning of April is any indication, this is going to be an amazing and busy year for our Global Outreach team. The Lord opened a door of opportunity for us to hold a Medical Outreach in Zimbabwe, then meet with elders in two communities we haven’t worked with in the past, plus visit a new country to lay the groundwork for future ministry.
Liya* thanks God – AND YOU – for the extraordinary work in her heart!
Liya heard that Jewish Voice was hosting an Outreach in her area of Ethiopia. And after receiving medical attention, Liya asked for prayer and counseling. She was looking for something – ANYTHING – that would loosen the squeeze she felt around life. Her husband had left her. Her children were depending on her. Liya was barely making it – performing backbreaking work day in and day out. It felt like her family was falling to pieces, and her life was falling apart.
About a year ago, we posted our 2021 Outreach schedule – six events serving scattered Jewish communities in Ethiopia and Zimbabwe. Our hope was to navigate the many hurdles that come with traveling internationally and holding large events that operate within COVID-19 guidelines. Truthfully, the plan was written in pencil, and we prepared ourselves for postponements, reschedules, and cancellations.
