You Are Fully Alive in the Light!
This week, Jewish People around the world celebrate Chanukah by lighting candles each night. Yet during this Festival of Light we are more aware than ever of the dark forces at work around us. There is bad news everywhere, but we are the people of the Good News!
We do not need to be disheartened, because we have Yeshua, the Light of the world. His assurance is that as we follow Him, we “will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).
What an incredible promise that is in times like these! And so, we not only walk in the light, we pray light into darkness. Join us as we pray for:
-
- •Nations and leaders around the world to look to God for guidance and wisdom in these difficult times, and in doing so, become Believers. “Put your trust in the light while you have it, so you may become sons of light” (John 12:36, also Ecclesiastes 2:13).
-
- •Citizens everywhere to be able to live in safety and peace. We pray all the more for them to be saved and know true peace through Yeshua (Isaiah 9:6, Ephesians 2:17).
-
- •The exposure of those involved in evil deeds and works of darkness, that they be apprehended, brought to justice, and also brought to repentance and salvation–(Matthew 10:26, 2 Peter 3:9).
-
- •The exposure of the schemes of the evil one himself, operating behind the scenes, that they be dismantled by the discernment and prayers of God's people (2 Corinthians 2:11).
-
- •Our Ministry, our partners, and Believers around the world to be strengthened by walking in fellowship with the Light in these crucial times, and to be bold in declaring the Good News and in giving testimony of God’s work in our lives (1 Peter 2:9, 1 John 1:5, also Philippians 2:15).
-
- •Provision as Jewish Voice expands the Kingdom of Light through the sharing of the Good News around the world. Through your involvement with Jewish Voice you are shining that light (James 1:17).
-
- •The provision of many medical and general volunteers for our upcoming Tach Gayint, Ethiopia, medical outreach where the Light of the Good News of Yeshua is desperately needed (1 Peter 4:10 ).
Father, thank You that You have sent Yeshua, the Light of the world, and that through faith in Him we ourselves have now become children of Light. May we not fear the darkness, but choose instead to be bearers of light, built up in our own faith, devoted to prayer, and bold in sharing Your light with those around us. In Yeshua’s name, AMEN!
