That’s why we bring His Good News to large city centers each year through our Hear O’ Israel! Festivals of Jewish Music and Dance. RUSSIA - In seeking the establishment of God’s kingdom on earth, we are diligent to remain in sync with His Spirit’s leading. Therefore we have decided to postpone our previously announced Hear O’ Israel! International Festival of Jewish Music & Dance in Russia until 2015 or beyond. However, you can continue to pray for us:
- As we work with local Messianic leaders to plant new, or grow existing, healthy Messianic congregations in the Festival cities we are considering
- As we listen to and follow the Lord’s leading for where and when a future Festival will occur in Russia
- That this extended time leading up to the Festival will be used to effectively develop a wonderful foundation and infrastructure to receive and disciple the fruit from the Festival, enabling New Believers to learn and grow in the context of healthy Messianic communities
UKRAINE – This is another great, new development. Although we will not be going to Russia this year, we will still be having a 2014 Hear O’ Israel! Festival. We are very excited about returning to Ukraine – twenty years after Jonathan’s massive Kiev Hear O’ Israel! Festival – to hold another Festival in early fall 2014. Please pray:
- For discernment for the right location, city, and Festival venue and that all will fall into place smoothly and be confirmed as soon as possible
- For the Lord to prepare the way spiritually by opening hearts
- For this timely Festival which falls during the “Days of Awe” on the Jewish Calendar—the ten days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur when Jews worldwide are reminded to consider their lives and participate in the sacrifice required to atone for their sin
- We believe, as do our fellow Messianic leaders in Ukraine, that the timing of this Festival will be providential and will speak to the open hearts of thousands of Ukrainian Jews during this special season, so please intercede for this to be the case
- Ask the Lord of the harvest to send workers who will be moved now to pray and plan toward volunteering at this Festival during the trip dates of Friday, September 19 through Monday, September 29, 2014
REMINDER – Keep our Woliso, Ethiopia Medical Outreach in prayer as final preparations are made and our staff and volunteer teams get ready to go! Your prayers will “till the soil” for good seeds of truth, compassion and healing to take root and bring forth salvation and miracles! Our Outreach there will be February 28 through March 9.
