Is the Goal of Destroying Israel Now Attainable?
Last week in this space I mentioned that President Obama’s recently announced “deal” with Iran would make the world a far more dangerous place in the long run by giving Iran a pathway to nuclear weapons. What’s more, I pointed out that it will make life much more dangerous for Israel and America’s other Middle East allies in the short run.This assessment was validated in a big way this week — by Iran itself! Iran’s deputy foreign minister emphatically declared Tuesday that the recently reached nuclear deal did not include limitations on Iran’s conventional (non-nuclear) weapons capabilities or missile power, and that Tehran planned to continue arming its regional allies.“We have told them in the negotiations that we will supply arms to anyone and anywhere necessary and will import weapons from anywhere we want and we have clarified this during the negotiations,” Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told Iranian state TV.

Last year, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Iran should keep arming the Palestinians until Israel is destroyed “by a referendum of the people living there.”
Sadly, the leading western nations, led by the United States, have just made that goal of destroying Israel more obtainable for Iran.
